Ingredients:
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons whole allspice
4 cinnamon sticks (3 inch)
1 bottle (48 oz) apple cider (6 cups)
1 bottle (48 oz) cranberry juice cocktail (6 cups)
Cinnamon sticks, if desired

Directions:
1. In 3 1/2 to 6 quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except additional cinamon sticks.
2. Cover; cook on low heat setting 4 to 6 hours. Remove allspice and cinnamon before serving. Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks.

Tie the spices in a cheesecloth bag and they will be easy to remove from the hot cider. If you don’t have cheesecloth, place the spides in a paper coffee filter and tie it with a piece of kitchen string.
