One More Week before Halloween

GarfiendThis week Halloween TV is getting very interesting! Many Halloween specials are starting on various channels including Food Network and Disney channel. My favorite two Halloween specials are “The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and “Garfield’s Halloween Adventure.” Garfield and Peanuts have remained my favorite cartoon characters of all time.

This week it’s all about the Halloween specials and movies. With just a week until Halloween – I feel I am scrambling to watch as many Halloween specials/movies that I can. The week before Halloween always goes by very quickly and I am often wondering what else I could have done to enjoy it. I thought that perhaps others might experience this same issue, below are some things you can do in this last week before Halloween. I also updated the recipes section and added a new wine label.

1. Go through the whole library of movies and TV specials that you have. Watch one (or two) each night to keep the festivities going.
2. Eat Halloween themed food; Stews, desserts, cookies, popcorn (or popcorn balls), carmel covered apples etc.
3. Light fall scented candles each night; Pumpkin, cinnamon etc.
4. Start or finish your Halloween décor. If you are already done, find a last minute project to add to the inside or the yard. Many stores are starting Halloween sales, now is a great time to check into that.
5. Keep fall going into November, just because Halloween is over – fall is not. Continue with fall foods, candles and yummy foods.
6. Keep your decorations out just a little longer this year. Try and keep your décor up a few days or even a week.
7. Keep the pumpkins out an extra day or two or bring them inside. Turn down the lights and enjoy them each evening for another night or two.

Halloween Ringtones

Halloween ringtonesWhen holiday‘s are near (mainly Halloween and Christmas) I like to customize my wallpaper and ringtones for my phone. There are so many ringtones, wallpapers, phones and accessories available for cell phones these days. I have yet to jump onto the iPhone bandwagon, but if you happen to have one – there are plenty of themes, wallpapers and apps available for Halloween festivities. I have searched online for various Halloween ringtones and also am including a few ringtones I made myself. Below are some free ringtones for download as well as some links to other free ringtone websites.

I don’t have internet on my phone, so I download the ringtones to my computer and upload them/send them to my phone as a MMS (multimedia message) via Text For Free’s website. I also added a brand new creepy spider wallpaper, a brand new sexy wine label and added Paper bag luminaries to the decorating section, enjoy!

Happy Birthday to me!

Cauldron fogToday is my birthday! That’s right – October is the best month to have a birthday in, I get Halloween gifts that way! ;) I totally re-organized the recipes sections into individual sections. I noticed as the recipes have continued to grow, the layout needed to be expanded beyond two columns. I added three new recipes today including a yummy pumpkin drink, chocolate covered apples and pumpkin chili! I will soon be adding my quick and easy chocolate chip pumpkin muffins.

After a long summer, cooler temperatures have arrived here. I am very excited to say that it finally feels like fall and Halloween is around the corner. As there is just a few weeks left until Halloween, what else can I add to this website to help make your Halloween the best? Let me know via comment below. If you use anything from this website, take a photo and send it my way! I am taking a day off for my birthday, but will be back soon with more updates! Photo pictured is the fogging candy cauldron in the decorating section!

More Halloween Glass Glitter Ornaments

Halloween Glitter OrnamentsWe made it to October first boys and girls! The month I have been looking forward to all year long is finally here. Summer will be over very shortly and cool temperatures will finally return – after what seemed like a long summer. Dust off those Halloween and fall decorations and get started! How will you be celebrating the month of October? Better Homes and Gardens have kicked off their 100 Days of Holidays from Halloween to Christmas. BHG has daily ideas to help make your holiday season the best yet, be sure to check that out.

I recently opened my E-Bay store with Halloween ornaments. The ornaments are glittered on the inside, so there isn’t any flaking or glitter mess. I started with traditional orange and black colors. I now have added purple to the ornament colors available and it’s now online via my eBay store. Part of the proceeds goes to my server cost as well as to my account (as I am a recent college grad still struggling to find employment). Each set comes with six ornaments and is a total of $15, that’s $2.50 for each ornament (with supplies etc). They are hand created by me, made in California and I appreciate the support.

I updated the TV Guide through the 7th of October and have to adjust a couple of things. Food Network is going to be having a Pumpkin carving challenge this weekend on TV. Elvira’s Movie Macabre also airs this Sunday in the early AM, check local listings (movie she’s showing is “The Terror”). I added a new wine label and three vintage Pumpkin Master stencils.

I am also working on a part TWO of the Halloweentown interview; I will keep everyone posted about that. Lots more very soon, be sure to check back.
