Marnie Cromwell (Kimberly J. Brown) is whole heartedly obsessed with Halloween. Witches, vampires, ghosts – Marnie is attracted to the strange and exciting aspects of Halloween. Like so many others, Marnie longs to feel special and part of something bigger. The problem is, Marnie’s mother Gwen (Judith Hoag) is all too eager to keep her three children far away from Halloween or anything to do with magic.
On the eve of Halloween, their grandmother Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) shows up at their home and clearly has magical powers. Marnie overhears Aggie and her mother speaking about her and discovers a wonderful secret, she is a witch! Marnie, Dylan (Joey Zimmerman), Sophie (Emily Roeske) follow their grandmother on her way home only to find themselves in Halloweentown. Marnie soon discovers there is much more to being a witch than meets the eye. Evil forces are a foot, working to undo the sanctuary that harbors all of Halloweentown’s exotic residences. The Cromwell’s have to work together to help save Halloweentown.
One of Disney channels best and most original holiday movies of all time, Halloweentown. I recently had the pleasure to ask Kimberly J. Brown some questions about the Halloweentown series.

The horror hostess with the biggest…talents (ahem, wink) is back on the television tonight! That’s right, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark returns after Movie Macabre’s 20 year absence. There is a full schedule posted on Elvira.com, be sure to check local listings. Check out the 6 page article all about Elvira from OCweekly. You can catch Elvira on Saturdays around 1AM and the show is sometimes listed as a name of a classic horror movie. Incase you missed it, here is the first few minutes of the first episode via YouTube. The TV guide will be updated tomorrow, be sure to check back for that. I also posted a brand new wine label, eerie green and perfect for a black light! Two brand new wallpapers, Linus awaits in the pumpkin patch and a simple (yet vintage) October calendar – enjoy.
Martha Stewart Living October 2010 is now on newsstands! It includes 125 ideas and a 50% off Michael’s coupon for Martha Stewart crafts, go pick up a copy! Wednesday September 22nd marks the first day of fall. What will you do to celebrate the day? Take out the fall or Halloween decorations? Plan a Halloween party? If a party is in the near future, the recipes section is a perfect place to start. I added seven brand new recipes, updated the TV guide and two brand new decorating ideas.
One way I am celebrating the first day of autumn is the starting of my annual Halloween movie kickoff! Many people commented on the 13 Nights of Halloween blog I posted a few weeks ago and the one majority opinions is – the movie line up stinks! Many people prefer the classic Halloween films and specials, my list consists of the following movies: Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic, Halloweentown series, Don’t Look Under The Bed, Mom’s Got a Date With a Vampire, Goosebumps Haunted Mask, Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, The Haunted Mansion, Scream series, Halloween series, Scary Godmother series, The Good Witch series. That is just the tip of my list; I am forgetting MANY movies as most of my DVD’s need to be unboxed (since I moved not too long ago). But I also want to mention that many of these movies are on YouTube, so if the TV fails you and you don’t own the DVD’s, it’s a perfect last minute fix. Because I am so Halloween crazy, any of the movies linked above will take you directly to YouTube so you can watch and enjoy! Note: I did not upload these movies and am simply linking to what already has been available on YouTube, thnx.
The art of pumpkin stencils has really become a personal art form over the last several years. Previously, the only pumpkin stencils available have been by Pumpkin Masters. Few have dared to break away and create their own stencils for public use – Jammin Pumpkins is one of these. JP’s has exclusively created a pattern for Oct31st.org and has also offered an additional five FREE patterns for everyone to download. I had the pleasure of speaking with JP all about his website; read the entire interview continued below. The downloads-section has been updated and reorganized; I also added a brand new Witches Brew wine label, enjoy!
